👥 Roles & Permissions

Understand who can do what in your workspace

Three Roles, Clear Responsibilities

LogHue uses a simple role system to keep workspaces organized:

🌟 Owner Owner

Owners are workspace leaders. They have full control over the workspace and can:

  • Create, edit, and close tasks
  • Review all work and logs
  • Add and remove all members
  • Change member roles
  • Update workspace settings
  • Archive or transfer the workspace

⭐ Admin Admin

Admins are workspace moderators. They have broad control over the workspace and can:

  • Create, edit, and close tasks
  • Review all work and logs
  • Add and remove members except themselves and other admins
  • Update workspace settings

👤 Member Member

Members are the core contributors. They can:

  • Create tasks
  • Log their work
  • Participate in discussions
  • View all workspace content
  • Leave the workspace

Members cannot change settings or manage other members.

Note: The table above covers role-level permissions. Deleting a specific task or discussion works differently: it's allowed for whoever created it, or the workspace owner, regardless of role. An admin can't delete a member's task just for being an admin.

Changing Roles

Owners can change a member's role at any time:

  • Go to Members
  • Find the member you want to change
  • Click "Change Role"
  • Confirm the change

Every workspace should have at least one admin.

Leaving a Workspace

Members can leave a workspace anytime:

  • Go to Settings
  • Click "Leave Workspace"

Note: Owners cannot leave a workspace without first transferring ownership to another admin.
